Windows Phone 8
Now, another discovery in Windows 8 Consumer Preview, makes us believe that Windows Phone 8, codenamed ‘Apollo’ is real and will probably use a derivative of NT as it’s kernel.
We found something inside the ntoskrnl.exe of Windows 8 Consumer Preview. It’s new, not present in Developer Preview, or any build older than it.
The ‘PhoneNT’ you see is probably meant for Windows Phone 8. As such, Microsoft has promised to unify the OS of all devices by 2015. So maybe, Windows 9 and Windows Phone 9 will be same.
